It's Georgie's birthday!
Not sure how to tie that in with the theme of Fretful Friday, so here is a video from youtube that a fan made for George's birthday, to the tune of "Don't Let Me Wait Too Long". (I love the picture at the 1:44 mark so much!)
We love you and miss you so much, George!
(I miss you.. baby.. so don't let me wait too long..)

Whatsoever Wednesday
Today is the anniversary of two pretty significant events in Beatles history.
On February 9, 1961, the Beatles played the Cavern Club for the very first time.
(this video is from 1962 - the oldest video that exists from their days at the Cavern Club)
and on February 9, 1964, the Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time.

Fretful Friday
In addition to his legendary guitar playing, George played many other stringed intruments - the ukulele being one of his favorites. A comedian known as George Fromby was George Harrison's inspiration to learn the instrument and his son Dhani once said in an interview that George not only almost always traveled with a ukulele, but that he often had one or two extras in case anyone else wanted to join in.
Here is a video featuring one of George's uke songs "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" from the Brainwashed album:
Also, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" may not be the first song you'd think of if someone asked you what would sound great on a ukulele, but it's really quite beautiful. Here is a very talented man playing it:
